Lies the DSM told you about Trauma
- Define trauma, referencing ACEs and lack, and how the DSM-5 is woefully inaccurate
- Introduction to the neurobiology of how the brain protects during/after traumatic experiences.
- Demonstrate tools for re-regulation including Vergence, touching on how the brain heals
Learn to Hear with Your Eyes
- Introduce the basics of the TAG Method and how it grew out of Brainspotting
- Demonstrate attuned presence and felt sense paired with relevant eye positions
- Demo of method and/or breakouts into dyads for practice
- Introduce The TAG Method healing music track, to be employed stand-alone or paired with TAG Method
Addiction Whack-A-Mole
- Discuss addiction as a trauma response, and not a disorder
